Sol-Ark O900-80V Optimizer Review
The Sol-Ark O900-80V Optimizer presents an innovative solution for solar array efficiency, combining a Rapid Shutdown Device (RSD) with Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology. This dynamic pairing ensures that each photovoltaic (PV) module operates at peak performance, even in shaded conditions, and fully complies with the safety standards outlined in UL 1741 and NEC 690.12. The O900-80V's ability to adjust for varying sunlight conditions ensures that solar arrays maintain the highest possible power output, enhancing overall system productivity. the optimizer is equipped with over-temperature protection and operates efficiently across a wide temperature range, ensuring stable performance under various environmental conditions.
TX 12K-A & TX 15K-A Integrated Transmitters + RSD
The Sol-Ark TX 12K-A and TX 15K-A Integrated Transmitters are pivotal for the integrity of the Rapid Shutdown (RSD) system, adhering to the safety mandates set by NEC 2017 (690.12) and NEC 2020 (690.12). These transmitters communicate a "permission to operate" signal to the linked optimizers using Power Line Communication (PLC), which is crucial for enabling a module-level rapid shutdown during emergencies. Included with their respective inverters, the TX 12K-A pairs with the Sol-Ark 12K-2P-N inverter, and the TX 15K-A is compatible with the Sol-Ark 15K-2P-N inverter.
Their design allows for a seamless integration into the inverter's wire box, bypassing the need for extra PLC cores. Versatile in power options, they can draw energy from the inverter's in-built 48VDC power supply in battery-based setups or from an external 48VDC source in grid-tied systems, providing flexibility in installation and use.
